Hockey Inspirations: "I think, growing up and being a Habs fan, I used to watch Guy Lafleur. And I think, right there, was my inspiration. They were my favorite team growing up. I idolized a lot of the players. I guess Guy Lafleur and my parents were a big part of my career."
First Hockey Memory: "First ever - I'd have to say when I was 10 years old we played an exhibition game at the Montreal Forum. To play a game there was a big memory. I scored a goal. I think we won 4-3, but I'm not sure. It was a long time ago."
Hobbies/Leisure Activities: "I play a little bit of guitar. I like to watch movies, fish in the summer time and golf."
Nicknames: "Mostly Wozzie or Roysie."
Favorite Movies: "I watched I Pronounce You Chuck and Larry recently, I thought that was hilarious. Wedding Crashers, too."
Last Book Read: "I read Chuck Liddell’s, The Ice Man. Ultimate Fighting Championship."
Favorite TV Show: "Family Guy probably.”
Musical Tastes: "Alternative: Nickleback, Metallica, Three Days Grace."
First Job: "Busboy at an Italian restaurant (age 16). (Remember the name?) Paccini."
First Car: "It was a Toyota Paseo. It's funny because I was so tall and I had to put the seat all the way back, so it hit the back seat to fit in."
Current Car: "It's a Yukon Denali. It's a bigger truck with more room for me anyway."
Favorite Website: "Don’t really have one, just cruise around sports stuff, whatever, TSN.ca or TheHockeyNews.com.”
Pre-Game Feeling: "I like to visualize a lot. Visualize a lot in the afternoon - just my role and what's going to happen, who we're facing and all that kind of stuff. Get a little nap in. Just do my ritual: come to the rink and keep my focus, listen to music and get ready."
Favorite Meal: "I'd say pasta. I love pasta. And seafood also."
Favorite Ice Cream Flavor: "Chocolate."
Greatest Sports Moment: "When I won the Stanley Cup in ’04. That's a dream come true, obviously; everybody dreams of that. I got an opportunity and that was a great, great, best memory in hockey."
Most Painful Moment: "Well, whenever you lose in the playoffs, it’s never fun.”
Closest Hockey Friends: "Vinny Lecavalier, Pascal Dupuis. I think those two are very good buddies of mine."
Funniest Players Encountered: "I think Marc Bergevin. Bergie. He's retired now, but I think everybody knows he's a pretty funny guy."
Toughest Competitors: "Compete-wise, I think Crosby and Ovechkin. Those are always tough guys to play against. They're pretty fast and strong. Fighters, I'd say the tops are Boogaard and Laraque."
Favorite Players To Watch: "Well it's always good to see Crosby, Ovechkin, Datsyuk, they're always spectacular and fun to watch with the puck and what they can do with it."
Funny Hockey Memory: "In the playoffs after we lost Game 6 to Philly (2004). Everybody was kind of down; we're going back for Game 7 in Tampa and Marty St-Louis was like, ‘Andre, you gotta make the team laugh, you gotta do something to get the guys loosened up.’ I went in the bathroom in the back, I got naked and I got one of the stewie’s aprons and I started serving cookies and milk to the guys. So you could see I disagree sticking out in the back. I went all the way down the aisle. I guess the guys kind of liked that; I guess it was a pretty good one, the guys were laughing.”
Embarrassing Hockey Memory: "Just last year, when I got to go home because...last year when I fought (Riley) Cote, I got my bell rung and I got pissed off, obviously - everybody's got that pride side, you know - then guys were sticking up for me. But, I got sent home after that by our coach. So I think that was pretty embarrassing for me, because I didn't want it to go that way. It was just emotions in the air. That was a tough situation."
Last Vacation: "I went to Mexico two years ago - Riviera Maya."
Most Memorable Goal: "Trying to think...your first goal is always memorable because you come in the league and you get to score a goal. That was in Ottawa in ’99, I scored on Curtis Joseph. I'll never forget it."
Strangest Game: "When I was with Ottawa we played in Pittsburgh and the lights went out. We had to wait a little bit in the Igloo."
People Qualities Most Admired: "Good personality is always good. Good sense of humor."
